Bosch Commercial & Industrial’s HIU training and assessment course now leads to an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 qualification awarded by LCL Awards. The course was originally developed around the MEHNA Heat Network Installer Training Guide released earlier this year and has subsequently formed the basis of the Ofqual-regulated LCL Awards qualification developed in collaboration with Bosch Commercial & Industrial.
The course focuses on the practical elements of installation and commissioning of HIUs with defined test methods that will need to become second nature for installers working under HNTAS. It introduces installers to the types of Acceptance Testing methods expected to form part of commissioning under HNTAS. It also shows how to save time by adopting sound installation practices from the outset.
For those working on the maintenance of HIUs, it also includes practical fault-finding methods that cover both HIU and heat network related faults.
