Trianco’s new Activair R290 indoor air-to-water heat pumps deliver efficient, low-carbon heating with outputs of 3.2kW and 5kW, advanced smart controls and a remote diagnostic/ monitoring capability, making it suitable for use in retrofit, newbuild and local authority/social housing projects.
Activair is designed for locations where an outdoor unit is unfeasible, for example, in apartments without balconies or homes with limited outside space. Developed to supply both heating and hot water when fitted with a domestic hot water cylinder, the Activair R290 is available as a wall-mounted 3.2kW unit or a floorstanding 5kW unit.
The internal 4G data transfer unit enables remote monitoring, intelligent diagnostics and fixing, which promotes prompt fault detection and diagnosis, reducing service visits and improving overall maintenance.
On the outside, only the two vents are visible while, on the inside, the elegant unit has similar dimensions to a domestic boiler. It can also provide air cooling where the property is fitted with fan coils instead of radiators.
Peter Beighton at Trianco said: “By eliminating the need for an outdoor unit, Activair R290 Indoor Heat Pumps provide a discreet, space-saving solution that can be installed in airing cupboards, garages or loft spaces alongside a hot water cylinder. Designed for outstanding energy performance, Activair can help homes achieve an EPC A rating, depending on the overall system design. This delivers exceptional energy efficiency, lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions.” The indoor units are easy to install. Optimised air duct design ensures smooth airflow to reduce energy loss during operation and improve efficiency. Ultra-quiet operation is ensured as the compressor is fully enclosed with composite silencing material, reducing vibration and noise indoors.
The heat pump can be controlled remotely via the Warmlink app. In addition, equipped with a gas separator and R290 leak detector, the system rapidly detects any leaking refrigerant and actively discharges it outdoors. www.trianco.co.uk
