Despite the record-breaking heat, the Buteline team enjoyed meeting those that attended the recent InstallerSHOW.
Visitors to the stand discovered the speed, simplicity and security of Buteline plumbing, central heating and Bute-Heatline UFH installations. Live demonstrations and interactive clamping competitions had installers and merchants getting hands-on with the pipe, fittings and tools, with attendees also scoring some Bute merchandise.
The Buteline system can be crimped with a hand tool or using a press gun. The post-clamp flare on the annealed aluminium collar of the fitting visually indicates joint completion.
The resulting Buteline connection is maintenance-free and very strong. The Buteline Tow Test video shows the pipe stretching first and then eventually breaking. The pipe does not pull out of the joint, and the joint does not break!
Specifically designed for use with hot and cold potable water, chilled water, central heating and underfloor heating, the Buteline system is WRAS-approved, versatile and uses the same one type of pipe.
Visitors were shown how flexible and easy Buteline pipe is to handle. De-burring is not required, and offcuts from UFH can be used for plumbing, minimising waste and ensuring users get the full value from every metre of pipe. For convenience, Buteline also offers red and blue pre-insulated pipe in 10mm, 16mm, 22mm and 28mm sizes with Euroclass B fire rating, which fulfils all the highest building standards in terms of fire reaction.
Attendees were also able to see firsthand how slim the Buteline one-piece (single mould) fittings are, and visually confirm that there are no O-rings, grab rings or inserts, which significantly reduces the likelihood of errors and ensures reliable leak-free connections for the long term.
Every Buteline plumbing joint is backed by a 25-year guarantee.
A variety of Buteline transition fittings allow convenient connection to existing copper or pushfit systems, with options for soldering, compression, pressfit or pushfit. Also on display were the offerings for Bute-Heatline UFH, which uses the same flexible, easy to handle pipe, giving a professional uniform layout and ease of installation. Options include a cost-effective staple system, a self-adhesive clip rail system and a castellated tray system. Buteline offers a free full-package design service on receipt of an order and a 48-hour quote turnaround, with full guarantee and aftersales support. www.buteline.co.uk
